This blog is a peek into a relatively normal (LOL!) life of a family of 4 children, Bryant, my awesome husband, and me, the busy bee, Hilary...otherwise known as mommy, ma, momma, blah blah blah! We felt that it was special to start this blog once the twins were born in 2010.

Learning
I don't want to be hard on myself, but I feel as if I am no good with my new camera! I have no idea what I am doing. Some pictures turn out good and some are terrible. And, this new program I have, Adobe Photoshop, I must not know how to edit pictures very well because I seem to mess them up! Anyway, I will learn! So, here are some pictures I have taken out of about a million since I got the camera....
Another Doctor's Visit
It was another doctor's visit today. This time, just Gracie Jo. She woke up from her nap and she was not her normal self. It was just my motherly instinct telling me to take her back. I feel like I know every Dr. and nurse there! Thankfully, I did take her. Now, she has an ear infection as well. The Dr. had to clean a bit of wax out of Gracie's ear. She just sat in my lap so calm and peaceful. Very different from Avery who does not take it so well along with Bryson. As a matter of fact, I looked down at Gracie and saw her dozing off! Yes, it was soothing her to sleep! I wanted to continue holding her in my arms and let her just fall asleep! She has started her antibiotic along with Avery. So, hopefully we will have a house full of healthy and happy kids very soon! :o)
RSV and Ear Infection
Bryson, the girls and I have been pretty sick lately. I have had a bad head cold that turned into a chest cold. It is still lingering, which unfortunately, colds seem to do. I am finally feeling well enough to get out of the house and do things. Gracie caught it first, waking up with a cruddy nose, then Bryson and now Avery. So, all three kids have a cold. Bryson, not so bad. I decided to take the twins to the doctor yesterday after seeing them tug at their ears a few times. It turns out that Avery has an ear infection in her right ear (funny to me, she has been tugging more at her left!) and both girls have RSV (Respitory Syncytial Virus) which causes infection of the lungs and the breathing passages. The first time they get it is the worse. Adults who get this will have symptoms of a commons cold such as a runny and stuffy nose, headache and a mild fever. In babies and kids, this virus can lead to more serious conditions. Therefore, we are watching the girls very closely and praying that this will pass very soon!

Belated Christmas
We had a belated Christmas get together with some of the family. We made it feel just like Christmas! I dressed the girls in their Santa outfits and we cooked an awesome brunch!
What a nice way to celebrate Christmas after the new year!
