10 Weeks Old

The girls are 10 weeks old today! Time is passing by and we are enjoying every minute with them. We especially enjoy spending time with them by taking lots of pictures. They probably get tired of seeing the camera flashing so much!

Wonderful Treat

Today, Bryant surprised me with a one hour massage and one hour facial at Miller Motte. I loved it! I had a chance to relax and simply not think about a thing but relaxing. I was so relaxed that the girls hardly even crossed my mind! I have such a wonderful husband; thanks babe! I love you! Then, I came home...back to reality. Reality right now is challenging, but at the same time such a blessing.

Homemade Haircut

I sent Bryson off with Bryant to get his hair cut over the weekend. Well, like most toddler boys, he absolutely hates getting his haircut. Taking Bryson in for a hair cut is like torture to us all. Well, not even 15 minutes later I hear Bryson coming through the door crying. It so happened that as soon as Bryant pulled into the parking lot and got Bryson out of the car, Bryson knew where he was and started crying. Then, Bryant took him inside and did not even get him into the chair before he turned around carried him right back out to the car and took him home. So...we decided to be brave and buy clippers and try this on our own! I wanted Bryant to help me do this before he left to go out of town this week but they called him and he had to leave pretty quickly. So, mom decided to be brave enough to help me! She helped me hold his head while I used the clippers on him and for a first time haircut using clippers on a hysterical almost three year old toddler...I give myself an A+!! Well, mom too because she had to help me hold his head and listen to him about burst her eardrums while screaming. Doesn't look too bad huh?! He was acting pretty silly after it was all over with...

Nine Weeks Old

The girls are nine weeks old today! They are doing so well, except for their head colds, especially little Gracie. She has been very congested. They are slowly getting better thanks to the yucky nose syringe, saline drops and cool mist humidifier. Bryant came home today, finally! Bryson was so excited to see him he could hardly stand it! Me too! We are glad he is home, but he is leaving again next week. :o( Here are some pictures! Oh, and the last picture of Bryson I just had to post. He is helping Daddy in his trailer....he would rather be sweeping than helping Daddy build his shelves. (I guess he gets that from me, haha!) And, I also had to post the cute one of Bryson and Daddy!

Crazy Week

This week so far has been crazy. Our lives right now with newborn twins and a two year old is crazy anyway, but especially this week. Bryant is out of town working all week and it has just been me, the girls and Bryson here. We miss him so much. Thank God that I have a wonderful mom who has been here to help during the day because, without her...I am not sure where I would be! The girls have been a little under the weather due to a head cold. Hopefully, they will get better soon. Bryson, I love my little boy dearly...but all I can say is that he is two and I guess he is just going through that age of whining, screaming, pointing and even hitting. Where he gets the hitting from, I don't know. How to stop all this, I am not sure. I feel like we have tried everything and we really are trying to raise him up right. Maybe we just need to call the Super Nanny, haha! J/K! I guess it is just the phase he is going through and hopefully, it will stop soon. We were so nervous about how hard of a job this would be before the twins arrived and, needless to say, this is for sure a hard job! Well, we made it through another day and all we can do is take this one day at a time. :o)

Saturday Hangin' Out

We just spent Saturday hanging out around the house. It seems more relaxing than trying get all the kids out. The girls are just getting sweeter and sweeter every day and Bryson is just loving them more and more every day. Bryson enjoys it when big "bubba" plays outside with him. Plus, it helps us out!

The girls are eight weeks old today! They are changing daily and so full of smiles in the mornings. Bryson just loves being a big brother and helping. He loves his baby sisters!

Busy Day

Today, like most days, has been non stop. I think the only break I got today was going on a walk with mom and the kids. Seems like Avery cried all day and Bryson pitched a two year old fit all day. I don't know how I get it all done, but somehow I manage! It is 9:30 and poor Bryant has not come home from work yet. He is so busy with work and I know he is so tired! We are working on potty training Bryson which makes the day even busier. Not sure if Bryson is ready yet, but we sure are. I finally got all the kids down (babies are half asleep...hopefully they will be out shortly) and it is like a sigh of relief. Whew!

Seven Weeks of Living and Loving

The past 7 weeks have been pretty rough with the girls and Bryson. We knew this would be a challenge, but we did not imagine it being this hard! Sleep has been the major issue. Things are slowly getting easier. The girls are finally getting a little better at sleeping during the night, slowly but surely! We are able to enjoy the twins more without being so sleep deprived. Bryson is adjusting more and more every day. He sure does love his baby sisters. He wants to help all he can and he does not like to see them cry. When they are crying, Bryson will cover them up with the blanket or try giving them their pacifier and it just melts our hearts how sweet he can be! Bryson loves giving them kisses and playing with their feet. We just love taking pictures and we take a ton of them...

Sleep!!

Guess what? The girls slept through the night last night! They went down at 8:30 and slept until 5:15. I feel like I can conquer the world today! (haha) The trick? Well, not sure but I think swaddling them helps as well as making sure they are both fed at the same time as well as upping their ounces to an extra ounce before bedtime. Plus, they like to sleep together. I think it helps at night that they have each other and they seem to comfort each other-how sweet!

Crying

It is difficult when the twins are crying at once, and it is even more difficult when Bryson is pitching a two year old fit on top of it all! Researchers say that babies cry an average of one to two hours a day, so you can imagine what it is like with twins-I feel like all I hear is crying, and then sometimes I hear crying when they aren't crying. I can't imagine having triplets or more! We love the girls dearly and we have to keep reminding ourselves that this will get easier!

Easter Egg Hunt

I took Bryson to the Easter Egg hunt today. Grandma watched the girls at the house while we went out and had some fun finding Easter eggs...

...and played on the playground!
