Second Torticollis Therapy Session

Avery had her second therapy session today for her Torticollis.(Right Sternomastoid Torticollis) We took Gracie to the appointment with us as well and they both had some fun kicking and doing some tummy time on the play mat just starring at one another. They have lots of toys in the room and a big mirror to look at themselves, so it was fun for them! Avery is a champ, she does not cry one bit during her stretches. When we try to do them here at home; that is a different story. It is hard getting used to what we have to do with her. We were given a lot of stretching exercises for her. She is getting better at holding her head up and turning it toward the right during tummy time; so we are seeing some improvement! Just finding the time to work with her when there is another baby in the house, a toddler running around and Bryant out of town is pretty difficult. We have four more sessions and hopefully Avery will be fixed!!

First Week Back

Well, somehow I made it through a tough week back at work. With Bryant out of town, it was pretty rough during the mornings and at night. There were a couple nights that I hardly had any sleep at all and I somehow got myself up and said a little prayer asking God to get me through this day and He did. So, we just take this one day at a time. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?!  We are so blessed to have two beautiful healthy baby girls and God has blessed us with Gracie and Avery for a reason.

The girls are growing more and more every day. They both have their own cute little personalities. Both have such adorable smiles. Gracie is beginning to fill out and look more like Avery in the face. They are definetely polar opposites so far as we can tell. Gracie, she is so determined. Avery is pretty impatient. Gracie is pretty independent and Avery needs more attention. We just love their little personalities starting to show!
On another note, Bryson is totally going through his terrible two's. I never thought anything of the terrible twos. I thought it was just temper tantrums here and there, but oh no.....it is really TERRIBLE TWOS!! I can't wait until this stage passes!! He is good at being a very sweet big brother...

Back to Work

The girls are now three months old. It is just amazing how fast they grow. My maternity leave has ended. I am going back to work on Monday. Bryant will be heading to South Carolina Monday for the week. It will be a challenge getting back in the swing of work with the twins and Bryson. I will be dropping Bryson off at daycare and then the twins off at mom's house in the mornings. Then, off to work...where life will be easier. Of course, I will miss my little ones! Then, I will be picking up the kids in the afternoons getting home just in time to heat up a quick dinner, feed the girls, bathe the kids and then, hopefully, have a good nights rest! Please pray for us as next week is almost here and the adjustment will be a challenge. Please pray for me to be patient and for the transition to be smooth. Also, please pray that the girls will let me get more rest so I can concentrate while I am at work! Thanks to friends and family who have been such a wonderful support while I have been on maternity leave. Love you all!!

A Great Mother's Day Treat...

...from my little handyman builder!!

Two Month Check Up

The girls had their two month check up today (even though they are 11 weeks old). All went well. Gracie Jo is now 9 pounds and 8 ounces and Avery Anne is now 10 pounds and 11 ounces. So, their doctor said babies normally start sleeping through the night once they hit about 12 pounds. Ok Avery...you are almost there!!  On the other hand, Avery has torticollis. Her head seems to always tilt to one side and she seems to look in just one direction; pretty common in twins. We have been noticing this as well but did not think anything of it. It is quite hard to feed her a bottle because she gets so uncomfortable. So, Avery will be starting physical therapy on her neck and this should be easily fixed! Our precious little angels are just getting bigger every day and they are so full of smiles, especially in the mornings! They are so healthy and we are so blessed to have such healthy little angels!

Photo Session

A Sneak Peak!

We took the girls for their first photo session yesterday morning. It was lots of fun. It also took lots of energy and was so very humid, but I can tell from the sneak peak picture, the energy and humidity were well worth dealing with! We can't wait to see more pictures soon with the girls and Bryson!
