Jump Jump Jump.....

The twins have a new toy which takes up more space and we now we have no room for anything else...

They really love it!

Last Minute Plans

We decided to hit the beach at the last minute over the weekend. We are such last minute people! Seriously, that is one thing I need to get better at is planning. I did not get much sleep over the weekend because Avery kept waking up. I guess her teething pain was pretty bad. So, today I noticed her tooth is FINALLY popping through! We are so excited, but it still obviously hurts her.

So, the kids enjoyed the trip. I was pretty much tired the whole time. I did have enough energy to take some pictures!

Bryson happy to see big bubba...

Just cute ones of the kids...

Bryson loves the mini outdoor hammock...

Bryson also likes to hold the fishing pole...

...and he was pretty upset when he had to let go of it to go back inside!

After fishing, papa managed to squeeze in a boatride for Bryson...

We got back and relaxed a while...

...And when we finally got home, mommy was so tired that she took a long nap before unpacking. It is always fun to get away, but I love being home!

Cooking It UP!!

Bryant told me he had something planned for us last Saturday. Was not quite sure what it was, but very curious the whole week and I kept asking him what it was. He would not give in! He did tell me the time it would be which was from 3 pm to 7 pm. Saturday FINALLY came around and Gran Gran came to watch the kids and we left the house at 2:45. We went the total opposite direction from where I thought we would be going. We headed East. I had no idea by that time. Then we pulled into a shopping center we go to sometimes. The first thing that popped in my mind when he asked if I know yet was Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club. He said nope. So, then I just had no idea because I did not think he would be taking me to one of our favorite restaurants, SkyLines Cafe,  at 3pm in the afternoon. Then we started walking up to the door of SkyLines, which doesn't open until 5pm. Uh..."Bryant they are not opened yet". "They are for us my dear!" So, we walked in and surprise...we were attending a gourmet cooking class. How cool is that!

So we sat around and the owner spoke with us about what we would be doing. It started out with a vendor from the Clayton Farmer's Market (Sat. mornings) who makes fresh squeezed "twister". She showed us how they make them and they are very addicting! She also sells Kettle Popcorn if you are ever out there you will have to stop by her station. And, we did learn that we will be going to the Clayton Farmer's Market more often! Skylines' gets most of their vegetables from the Clayton Farmer's Market.

Then we went to learn how to make Brown Sugar Chess Pie....

And off to the kitchen to cook our main course....

And last, the pepper station! We learned how to make stuffed jalapeno peppers....

After that, we mingled and had a little bit of a wine tasting. Then, we sat down for an awesome gourmet dinner....

Thanks to Tina, Mary, Melrose and the entire staff for a fabulous time and awesome meal...

And, thank you Bryant. I love you my awesome hubby! What a great treat for both of us and it was a blast! We will definitely be doing this again!

If you live around Clayton area and would like to join us again, they have the cooking class every third Saturday of the month.

Our Little Swimmer

Every time I take Bryson swimming, he just gets better and braver. So, he just wants to be let loose and free in the pool all by himself. And, he can do it with just his floaties. The boy amazes me! He also can jump in the water and go all the way under holding his breath. He loves it!

Happy Six Months Today!

Gracie and Avery are six months old today! Wow, it won't be long before they are one! Life is getting a little easier now that they are six months old. Both the girls are teething, not cutting teeth-just teething, and with Avery, it has been CRAZY. She is taking it very hard. We have to give her Tylenol. Gracie is just chewing on things and can get a little fussy at times. The girls are now able to play in their exersaucer and they love it. They can roll over all over the place. Gracie is getting to where she might be crawling very soon! Avery has a strong set of legs and she can kick like a mule! She can also stand up pretty well on her legs. Unfortunately, the girls are still waking up at night! I try not to take it for granted and to enjoy the moments I can hold them and burp them after their bottles in the peaceful night before laying them back down. They are both eating solids now. We have tried sweet peas, green beans and carrots. The carrots and sweet peas are their favorite so far. I thought once we started them on solids that they would be sleeping through the night. Not the case with our girls! Any suggestions twin mommies out there?? I can always use some good advice!

We have not been back to see Avery's PT for her therapy since she has been on vacation. We need to get her back in and once things calm down a little with teething and runny noses we will get her back. For now, I am doing the best I can at doing her stretches and I think that is just fine. She is getting better at them. Avery is such a sweet baby. Her smile just melts us, especially with her cute little dimples!

Gracie is just Gracie. That all I can say! She is just our "little Gracie"! We love her so much! She is still so much lighter than Avery! Her hair sticks straight up no matter how hard I try to comb in down after a bath. It is so fuzzy and we love it! It brings out her personality. She loves to laugh and is very ticklish.

Happy six months old Gracie and Avery. We love you dearly. You girls are a blessing times two!!
