RSV and Ear Infection

Bryson, the girls and I have been pretty sick lately. I have had a bad head cold that turned into a chest cold. It is still lingering, which unfortunately, colds seem to do. I am finally feeling well enough to get out of the house and do things. Gracie caught it first, waking up with a cruddy nose, then Bryson and now Avery. So, all three kids have a cold. Bryson, not so bad. I decided to take the twins to the doctor yesterday after seeing them tug at their ears a few times. It turns out that Avery has an ear infection in her right ear (funny to me, she has been tugging more at her left!)  and both girls have RSV (Respitory Syncytial Virus) which causes infection of the lungs and the breathing passages. The first time they get it is the worse. Adults who get this will have symptoms of a commons cold such as a runny and stuffy nose, headache and a mild fever. In babies and kids, this virus can lead to more serious conditions. Therefore, we are watching the girls very closely and praying that this will pass very soon!
